Estevan – Flute

Based in the San Jose area, flutist Estevan Romero is a dedicated performer and educator with extensive experience. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music at San José State University and holds two bachelor’s degrees from University of California, Davis.

Estevan has a diverse and accomplished performance background. He currently serves as principal flute of the San José State Symphony Orchestra and previously held the same position with the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra for three years. In March 2026, he performed the Rouse Flute Concerto with the San José Symphony Orchestra. As a recitalist, his repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary works, highlighting the expressive range of the flute.

Passionate about education, Estevan fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can develop both confidence and musicality. His teaching approach emphasizes strong fundamentals, musical expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Estevan also serves as a faculty assistant at the Northern California Flute Camp, where he previously worked as a counselor for four years.
